Product Description
Zero VOC emissions and a water-based formulation: This water-based plastic-replacement coating uses water as its solvent, resulting in near-zero volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions during both production and use. It complies with the EU’s RoHS and REACH standards as well as the U.S. ASTM F963 heavy-metal content regulations, completely addressing the air pollution and occupational health risks caused by the volatilization of organic solvents in traditional oil-based lamination processes. Biodegradability and recyclability: Its core components—such as waterborne polyurethanes and bio-based polymers—are biodegradable in natural environments. Waste packaging can be directly sent to paper recycling processes without the need for separation, realizing a circular economy model with "zero plastic residue." Take Dongguan Anxin Technology’s “water-based polymer surface micro-film coating process” as an example: this technology employs a micron-scale mesh bonding structure that enables the film layer to achieve molecular-level encapsulation of paper fibers. This not only preserves the physical performance of the coating but also addresses the critical issue of plastic films hindering paper recycling. Low carbon footprint: Carbon emissions during the production process are reduced by more than 60% compared to conventional BOPP lamination processes, aligning with the global trend toward "plastic reduction and carbon reduction." For instance, after adopting this technology, a certain cosmetics packaging company reduced its annual plastic usage by 120 tons and cut its carbon emissions by approximately 380 tons.
