China's chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry exhibits a diversified and specialized regional development pattern. Different regions, leveraging their resource advantages, industrial foundations, and policy support, have formed unique industrial clusters. Taking Xinxiang County as an example, as an important chemical industry base in Henan Province, the development of its chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry is very strong. As of 2022, Xinxiang County had 39 large-scale industrial enterprises, mainly engaged in the production of organic chemical raw materials, compound fertilizers, and specialized chemical products. In recent years, Xinxiang County has effectively promoted the deep processing and industrial chain extension of downstream products of chemical raw materials and chemical products through technological transformation, process improvement, equipment upgrades, and industrial upgrading. Using syngas, synthetic ammonia, and methanol as basic resources, it has vertically and horizontally expanded the industrial chain, achieving cluster development of the chemical raw materials and chemical products industry, and successively giving rise to well-known chemical enterprises such as Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., Xinxiang Ruifeng New Materials Co., Ltd., and Henan Xinlianxin Cryogenic Energy Co., Ltd. In 2022, the total output value of the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry in Xinxiang County increased by 18.7% year-on-year, accounting for 60.9% of the city's total; the added value of the industry increased by 18.6% year-on-year, accounting for 67.2% of the city's total; operating income increased by 44.0% year-on-year, accounting for 61.8% of the city's total; and total profits increased by 19.6% year-on-year, accounting for 92% of the city's total. In addition to Xinxiang County, the Yangtze River Delta region, with its developed economy, complete infrastructure, and abundant human resources, has significant advantages in high-end chemicals and fine chemicals; the Pearl River Delta region, relying on its strong manufacturing base and open market environment, has developed rapidly in plastics, rubber, and coatings; while the central and western regions utilize their resource advantages to form a certain industrial scale in basic chemical raw materials, fertilizers, and pesticides.
